Privacy Policy
Effective September 29, 2026
DigDispatch connects construction contractors who need vacuum-excavation work with vac truck companies who do it. This policy explains what information we collect to run that service, how we use it, and the choices you have. “DigDispatch,” “we” and “us” mean DigDispatch.
Information we collect
Account and company information
When you or a teammate create an account we collect your name, work email, mobile phone number and password (stored only as a one-way hash), plus your company's name, phone, address, time zone and role on the platform. Vac companies may also provide their yard location, service radius, services, truck types, fleet size, USDOT number and insurance details.
Sign in with Google
If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and Google account identifier to create and sign in to your account. We do not receive your Google password and we do not access your Gmail, Drive, contacts or any other Google data.
Job information
Jobs include the work description, site address and map coordinates, site hours, site contact name and phone, locate ticket, PO and project numbers, rates, messages between the two companies, work tickets (hours, loads, notes), ratings, and invoice numbers, amounts and paid status that users record.
Device and usage information
Our servers log basic request information (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time) for security and troubleshooting. If you use “My location” while placing a pin, your browser shares your location with the page only for that action; we store the pin, not your device location.
Payment information
Subscription payments to DigDispatch are processed by Stripe. Card and bank details go directly to Stripe; we store only the Stripe customer and subscription references and your plan status. DigDispatch does not process payments between contractors and vac companies.
How we use information
- To run the service: post jobs, match them to vac companies whose service area covers the site, schedule work, and show each side what it needs.
- To send job alerts and updates by text message and email (see Text messages below).
- To bill contractors for their DigDispatch plan.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
- To respond to support requests and send important account notices.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Who can see what
- Open jobs are visible to vac companies eligible to take them (by distance, services, truck type and the contractor's dispatch settings). Before a job is claimed they see the job details, location and pins; the site contact's phone is shown once a vac company holds the job.
- Claimed jobs are visible to the contractor and the assigned vac company, including names and phone numbers of the people involved, messages, tickets and invoice status.
- Driver job sheet links can be viewed by anyone who has the link. They show the job site, pins, hours, work details and site contact, and never show rates, invoices or account details. Share them only with your crew.
- Vac company profiles (name, city, services, truck types, fleet size, radius, USDOT number, insurance expiration, average rating and job count) are visible to contractors on DigDispatch. Individual ratings are not shown with the name of who left them.
Service providers
We share information with companies that help us run DigDispatch, only as needed for them to provide their service:
- Twilio (text messages)
- Resend (email delivery)
- Stripe (subscription billing)
- Google (maps, address lookup, and Sign in with Google)
- Our hosting and infrastructure providers
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public, or as part of a merger or sale of the business.
Text messages
When you add a mobile number to your DigDispatch account and keep text alerts on, you agree to receive automated job-related text messages from DigDispatch, such as new-job alerts, claims and schedule changes, status updates, reminders and messages about your jobs. Message frequency varies with job activity. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to any message to stop texts, START to resume, and HELP for help. You can also turn texts off under Settings → My profile & alerts. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We do not sell, rent or share mobile phone numbers or text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Numbers are shared only with the messaging provider that delivers our texts and, for people working a job, with the other company on that job.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Google Maps, when shown, may set its own cookies under Google's privacy policy.
Keeping and deleting information
We keep account and job records while your account is active and as needed for the other company on a shared job, for billing, and to meet legal obligations. Company admins can remove team members at any time. To close an account or ask us to delete or correct information, email [email protected]. Some records, like completed jobs and billing history, may be kept where the other party or the law needs them.
Security
We use encrypted connections, hashed passwords, access controls and limited staff access to protect information. No service is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password and tell us right away if you think your account was accessed without permission.
Children
DigDispatch is a business service and is not meant for anyone under 18.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information. Email [email protected] and we'll respond within 30 days.
Changes
We'll post any changes here and update the date above. If a change is significant we'll let account owners know by email or in the app. See also our Terms of Service.
